Gap
Hello my faithful (w)hole audience, all three or four of you. My apologies for the unexplained absence. Things have been happening in the life of Dan, as things tend to do in the lives of most people. Here's some highlights:
1. I'm leaving school... again... for good this time. I mean it. I'm going to rehab and everything. I'm not going to set foot in another classroom for as long as I live. No, really, I swear. Seriously. I'm not lying... ok ok, maybe I'm still thinking about it. But for the most part, I have totally lost faith in school. If you want to get an idea of why I feel this way, the work of John Taylor Gatto would be a good place to start. (Here's a good essay by Gatto if you're interested).
2. I'm moving back to Boulder for a few months, and then in April I will be moving to Chicago. Woohoo!
3. I haven't really been drawing much, hence the lack of new drawings here, and the drawings I have been doing haven't been the kind of drawings I want to post here. I've been brainstorming and sketching some ideas for children's books. Right now I have a couple ideas that I like, one of which is very loosely based on Plato's Allegory of the Cave. I'm not sure when I'll have some more drawings to post, but when I got 'em, I'll post 'em.
That's all for now. Word.
